Spring Skiing at Mt. Rose

Lexy, Uncle Kevin, Hunter & Papa

Mandy just before she headed back to the lift

The sky was the perfect blue and the kids have been asking everyday. So today we all made it back up to the mountain. It was 53 degrees at base lodge and their was plenty of sunshine - but we rarely seem to be short on that. All the kids were up on skis again... Lexy learned to turn right this time, Hunter worked on smoother turns and Mandy well she has no fear so she does it all - and pretty well. Hudson could only do 5 runs before he decided the deck at the lodge looked better.

Sunny and Sledding

Yes, I know we have lots of photos of sledding, but this was with Nanny & Papa, their dog Mickie, Uncle Kevin and our neighborhood friends - Josie & Jada.

The views never get boring around here!

Lexy, Josie & I heading down the hill.

The girls taking a break after climbing the hill.

Mickie & Uncle Kevin going down....they crashed!

Can we go again????

Another day of sunshine and sunburn!

Easter Morning...

So everyone got ready for church and Papa (michelle's dad) got all the kids outside for a picture and this is as good as it gets folks!!!!!
Regardless, we had a great easter service at Reno Vineyard, our home church, a wonderful ham as a late lunch and a very relaxing afternoon.
HE IS RISEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look who's 10

Our Lexy turned 10 on April 11th.

It has been an exciting adventure to watch our first little girl turn into a beautiful young lady. Her current passions are gymnastics, skiing, picture taking, sledding, riding snowmobiles, hiking and riding her bike. We have also been blessed to watch her foster many friendships in all of the different areas we have lived. She loves to communicate via email, the telephone (of course) and sending cards.

We are not sure where the first ten years have gone but we are eager to be a part of her life for the next decade as well.

Fun day at Squaw

No, we did not go skiing. It was more of an exploration. But it was still fun.

The day started out very windy, cold and snowy, but we needed something to do so we all hopped into the van (my mom & dad & brother Kevin came with us- they came out for a visit over easter) We decided a trip to see the olympic flame and a ride on the Gondola at Squaw Valley might be nice. So that is what we did. All the kids loved it except for Lexy... I think her eyes were closed most of the time. I guess the highest she wants to be in the air is a chair lift!
